The film follows a young insecure boy on the autism spectrum who befriends a magical puppet who escaped from a tyrant magician. As the two form an immediate bond, the magician attempts to track them.

Raymond Shorter, wrote the first draft of the script for Tommy and Ray as a student at Wedgwood Academy. Raymond is an aspiring actor and will star as Ray in the film. Raymond is also an excellent pianist and musician.
Our Goal
Tommy and Ray’s goal is to create an inclusive production for actors and filmmakers
with disabilities. When working with special needs children, the film will have positive changes on target issues that increase communications skills, improve social interactions, better self-regulation, enhanced independence in daily activities, greater participation in classroom activities, positive behavioral modifications, and overall development of life skills. Production areas are made available for those with disabilities that include but are not limited to acting, behind the scenes production work and working with the film crew in a position tailored to each child’s specific needs. All achieved through individualized interventions and supportive strategies.

Tommy and Ray intend to secure funding through grants, donations, sponsorships andpotential revenue streams. Additional strategies for raising funds include but are not limited to goods and services donations, a tax write-off, and in-kind donation and/or financial donations in exchange for name or business in film credits, on website, and on promotional materials.
