Tommy and Ray, The Film

A ventriloquist tosses his puppet in the garbage after giving up on his comedy

dreams. A magician approaches and is interested in the puppet. The magician uses magic to bring the puppet to life.

Ray is an insecure teenager with mild autism. After being bullied, Ray's mother transferred him to Wedgwood Academy. Ray goes shopping with his mom and meets the magical puppet for the first time. They become best friends.

Ray makes friends with Tim and Darren and introduces them to Tommy the puppet. Ray becomes smitton with Johanna, they pinky promise to keep Tommy's secret. The kids develop a close friendship. A talent show is advertised and the group decides to form a band called "The Puppeteers".

Tim and Darren reveal to Ray and Tommy that a sinister man approached them and asked if they'd seen Tommy. Tommy reveals that the sinister man is the tyrant that forced him to steal. The magician is looking for Tommy everywhere and finds a flyer with the talent show on it and the schools location.

Tommy and Ray are walking home from school when they are ambushed by the magician. The magician snatches Tommy. Ray falls and sees the magician throwing Tommy into his car. Ray runs home in tears, desperate to find Tommy. Ray realizes his Apple watch is missing and assumes Tommy took it so Ray could find him. Ray solicits the help from his friends to rescue Tommy. The "Find My" app leads the group to a warehouse where Tommy is being held captive. The kids create a diversion to distract the magician. Their plan falls apart when the magician catches them trying to leave. Darren is grabbed by the magician who demands a trade. Tommy for Darren.

The magician threatens to turn Tommy back into a lifeless puppet. Ray creates a distraction by throwing Tommy into the air. Caught off guard the magician lets go of Darren to catch Tommy and drops the potion in the scuffle. The kids run with Tommy. The warehouse doors burst open and police storm the building. The police find the stolen money and jewelry and arrest the magician.

Tommy is adopted by Ray's family. The next day the kids perform as "The Puppeteers" and receive a standing ovation. The audience is shocked that Tommy is a puppet and Ray tells them, it's magic!
